RSA Spain, the Spanish branch of the insurance group RSA Luxembourg, announces that it has appointed, with immediate effect, Dámaso Álvarez Peña as the new Liability Underwriting Leader for RSA Spain.
He will report directly to Marilyne Furlan as European Head of Liability Lines of RSA Luxembourg and locally to Christian Coletta, Managing Director of RSA Spain.
Dámaso is a Doctor in Biology from the University of Oviedo and holds a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering and Management, as well as a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Escuela de Organización Industrial (EOI).
He has a wide experience of almost 15 years in our sector, having worked in two large multinational insurance companies. He first held for several years different positions related to environmental risks with responsibility in Spain, Europe and the Mediterranean region, and later he was appointed Director of Liability for Iberia and then for the Latin American region.
Prior to that, he held various positions in the private sector focusing on business development and the environment.
